Taking Action

Cleaning up the local hiking trails
updates

I recently gave a Shark Conservation talk that went very well, and I have taught quite a few AWARE Shark Conservation courses and several local cleanups.

This week I became a mentor for a high school senior doing a project on how humans are impacting the World we live in. Beyond mentoring, I will be teaching her to Scuba Dive and the AWARE courses will be the focus.

While I can't make the big ocean clean up day, I will sign up to become an instructor for dive against debris in time for AWARE week.

I've started to collect trash from my local popular hiking trails and check out the debris I collected over a 2.5 mile course! I love raising awareness and stopping the trash becoming marine debris!

I really hope my actions are making a difference, not only with scuba divers but people in general.
