During the Divemaster program here at Blue Corner Dive, all DMCs get to enjoy a Project AWARE day and a Dive Against Debris! This time we were honoured to have Dana Moore from Project AWARE join us for our dive as well as our in house Course Director and Master Instructors, so we had the perfect numbers for a competition.  PADI Pro's versus Divemaster Candidates, it was ON!!

On October 26, we conducted our Dive Against Debris on our Adopted Dive Site 310 - Karang Sari. This was specifically adopted for our Divemaster program and a Dive Against Debris is conducted there every month. This site boasts stunning, pristine reef and sweeping currents. sadly it is also subject to fishing nets and lines damaging the coral making this an important site to regularly clean.

We set out on a beautiful early morning, spirits were high and fiercely competitive! We were keen to show Dana what our efforts were for and this day dive did not let us down. Having wonderful interactions with giant Marbled Rays and predictably, getting a great haul of trash.

Together we remover 32kgs of rubbish that day! But can you guess who came out victorious....? Thats right, the PADI Pro's with a total weight of 18kgs and 252 individual items. The DMC's were not far behind with a total weight of 14kgs and 202 items.
