Bain & Company Dive Against Debris

Marine litter is damaging and costly. Commitments to reduce debris globally are being made but data on marine debris is seriously lacking. Volunteers from Bain & Company, Sydney Australia have chosen to be part of the solution. They organized a Community Impact Day with 17 employees and Dive Centre Manly.

Have you heard about the Triple Whammy Cleanup? This amazing event does three times the good and happens when you have three resorts who all Dive Against Debris at the same time.  Two Fish Divers, Bunaken, Lembeh and Nusa Lembongan collected 246 kilos of marine debris on one day in November.

Brisbane Wetsuit Walk

With a possible high of 28 °C on Saturday 10th November, Brisbane Australia, you’d expect to find most people in the water, especially if they’re wearing wetsuits.  But the first Brisbane Wetsuit Walk will see hundreds of divers walk the city streets in their wetsuits to raise awareness for sharks.  They’re taking on the job of positive publicist for sharks everywhere.

Cydive Dives Against Debris to Protect Coralligenous Habitat

During September's Debris Month of Action, scuba divers and snorkelers from Cydive in Pàphos, Cyprus, teamed up to dive against debris and remove huge amounts of marine litter that were harming fragile Mediterranean underwater habitats.

Scubafish Thailand, Sea Turtle Rescue

In Thailand on the island of Ko Haa, a group of Scubafish divers recently rescued three sea turtles struggling for their lives.
It was the end of a beautiful day diving when the boat captain spotted something unusual floating on the surface of the water. As the divers got closer they found a huge discarded fishing net with three entangled turtles, trapped and struggling to breathe.
