Danna Moore, Director - Global of OperationsDanna Moore

Director, Global Operations

With 10 years of experience fostering high-level stakeholder relationships with NGOs, policymakers, and corporations, Moore is passionate about building odd-bedfellow coalitions to drive change. She has worked to advance market and policy solutions on ocean issues such as marine debris, habitat protection, and overfishing. Her experience in program development, stakeholder engagement and operations management, has led her to an exciting career at Project AWARE. As Director of Global Operations, Danna Moore leads Project AWARE’s global team in the development and implementation of the overall strategy, global operations, brand, and partnerships.

Associate Director, Policy and Campaigns

Growing up in a small fishing village in South Wales, Ian developed a love of the ocean from an early age. This affinity for all things marine led Ian to study Marine Biology at Heriot-Watt University, which kick-started his career in marine conservation. Over a period of 20 years, Ian has worked in a wide variety of roles incorporating private, government and civil society sectors. This career has included working as a fisheries officer in the UK, developing marine conservation policy and several years working as a commercial diver. Immediately prior to joining Project AWARE, Ian led global shark and ray conservation work focussing on reducing impacts of commercial fisheries, habitat protection, and sustainable shark and ray tourism. As Associate Director of Policy and Campaigns, Ian leads Project AWARE’s development and implementation of key strategic conservation projects and initiatives with a view to influencing policy developments at the local, national and global levels.

Lauren WiskersonLauren Wiskerson, CFRE

Global Development Manager

Certified Fundraising Executive and Master Scuba Diver, Lauren Wiskerson, puts her Business Administration Diploma, Legal, Finance, Dive Industry background and 14 years of experience managing ocean conservation programs to work for philanthropy as Project AWARE’s Development Manager. Impassioned by connecting with like-minded supporters and dedicated ocean activists around the globe, she develops, executes and drives organizational donor strategy and leads initiatives to drive awareness and financial support to protect the ocean with Project AWARE.

Operations Manager

Kian has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and over 15 years of experience working with non-profit organizations. She began her career working directly with at-risk youth and eventually became the director of several different community programs. It is here, at Project AWARE, that Kian is able to merge her love of nature and the ocean with her non-profit management experience. Using her organizational skills, fundraising experience and creativity she is now working as part of Project AWARE’s Operations Team. Kian works closely with several different staff to support a variety of fundraising operations, grant writing, and operational functions.

Stefania Di DioStefania Di Dio

Communications Specialist

After getting her Master's Degree in Translation, Stefania wanted to try a working experience abroad. After working for a year and a half at the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), and 6 years at Project AWARE as an Administrative Assistant and Communications and Translations Coordinator, Stefania is now the Communications Specialist, managing all social media platforms, all global conservation translations, assist with campaigns and community stories and maintain the EMEA charity operations. She also utilizes her fluency in English, Spanish and Italian to work with our global community of adventurers. With her global perspective, language skills (fluency in English, Spanish and Italian) and passion for the underwater world, Stefania engages with our global community of adventurers to support our mission to return to a clean and healthy ocean.

Project AWARE Jack FishmanJack Fishman

Community Conservation Officer

The ocean and its amazing inhabitants have always been a part of Jack Fishman’s life. From learning to snorkel and identifying fish at the age of six, to a continuing diving career of more than 17 years. Jack grew his love for the underwater realm after watching the reefs change over many years. Jack’s work experience as a dive instructor fueled his passion for marine conservation. Working as the Marine Conservation Coordinator at Rainbow Reef Dive Center in Florida, he was able to inspire local communities to work together for a clean ocean, and teach dive programs that helped divers become active citizen scientists. As Project AWARE’s Community Conservation Officer, Jack now works with dive leaders on the ground to help them implement conservation programs, and help spread the mission for conservation in local communities.

Community Coordinator

Having completed a degree in Marine Biology and Oceanography, Peta went onto work in various countries around the world as a Marine Biologist and PADI Diving Instructor. During this time, she developed a passion for teaching and educating others on local and global conservation issues and enjoyed inspiring others to take action for the ocean. She now draws on these passions and experiences as Project AWARE's Community Coordinator, supporting the application of outreach and engagement campaigns.

Operations Coordinator, Americas

Juanita has always loved the water and the ocean but she truly discovered her passion for ocean conservation and scuba diving when she joined the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) where she used to work as a Senior PADI Customer Service Representative (Americas). Since joining Project AWARE in early 2020, Juanita has brought extensive customer service experience from the recreational diver, professional instructor and dive retail and resorts' world. She's determined to use her experience and passion to help Project AWARE and our global community of ocean adventurers connect their passion for ocean adventures with the purpose of marine conservation. Juanita works closely with the global Project AWARE Operations team to manage the day to day needs of the organization.

Operations Coordinator, Asia Pacific

Ian is a PADI Master Scuba Diver, adventurer and a huge ocean lover, he likes to be near it, on it or under it via diving, snorkeling, surfing, and outrigger canoeing - he finds it soothing to his soul.  Keenly aware of the need to help educate people on ocean conservation and how we can all do better, Ian joined Project AWARE in early 2020 to bring his extensive experience and knowledge gained through working in different corporate roles.  Ian is committed to putting his background in Relationship and Account Management, Customer Service, Events and Business Development to good use in his role as Operations Coordinator for the Asia Pacific Region.
