Type of Debris Fishing line
Comments We saw the turtle swimming with fishing line tangled around a rear leg. The turtle seemed to be moving and swimming freely so rather than distress it by trying to catch it we observed for approximately 3-5 minutes and determined that although there was line wrapped around a leg, it didn't seem to be distressing the animal. This is a site that we will now be diving regularly and will keep observing.

This area is used frequently on weekends for public camping. Unfortunately, there are few/if any garbage bins or collections on the beach - the majority of the garbage (food wrappers, containers etc) is discarded into the sea.
