Type of Debris Fishing Line
Comments I found this wad of fishing line clung to the side of the reef. I did not notice the crab entangled when I initially removed it. The crab was alive and active, but one of its hind legs were missing. I removed the line from the crab and released back into the ocean.

Alot of this came from the rather new area on the far northern end of the rocky outcrop. Alot of the trash in that area is older and larger than the smaller pieces I tend to find on the southern end/beach facing area.

Actually I did this survey almost a month ago, but left to visit my family in the US the day after and returned this weekend to log the info I marked down on the survey card.
