This was the second time we cleaned up the same spot. There is still lots to do. We figured out that the whole area is covered in baby wipes and the plastic just sticks to it and collects in that particular area. We need to find out why there are so many of these baby/face wipes and where they are coming from.

Great dive spot! The visibility was 6-7 meters, would highly recommend this spot for a pleasure dive. The local area seem to have made a great effort in keeping the beaches clean, with bins available on all the exits from the beaches, and you could see the beaches were a lot cleaner than others we have visited. As the beaches were clean, we found less plastic than expected but an issue in the area with fishing wire (lots of boat traffic above the dive spot and in the surrounding bays).

During the dive we found a dead crab with fishing wire wrapped around its claw - bought home the difference removing this debris makes to our marine life.

A lot of fishing wire we found was wrapped about the kelp, and needed our line cutter to remove the lines.

A good little haul of debris reclaimed from the sea, 0.45kgs of wire, plastic and metal removed :)
