Underwater / Shoreline Clean Up
Ends
This weekend divers & water sport enthusiasts around the world join together to help cleanup our rivers, lakes and oceans.
Adventure Divers together with Project Aware are calling on all our local divers to do the same. Last year we were a small dedicated group who cleaned up 125 lbs of garbage at Burleigh Falls.
This year we hope to do the same or more at our local training dive site on the Otonabee Rive north of Lock 23. Divers are to meet at the dive site for 10am. Bring mesh bags for gathering debris underwater. Shoreline cleanup is also important, bring plastic garbage bags for gathering land debris. Adventure Divers will have forms to fill out to record the debris collected and our trailer to dispose of the trash. later. Sign up today at Adventure Divers and help us make a difference in our community.
Dive Social and Pig Roast lunch included for all volunteers. Pot Luck dishes are always welcomed from those who can. Dive social will take place at Adventure Divers on Highway 7 following the clean up dive--2pm onward bring your lawn chair.
