SCUBA HAM AWARD: the award of the scuba divers amateurs radio

DX Holiday, specific web site for amateur’s radio holidays created by PADI instructor Michele Imparato, encouraging the activity on the amateur radio bands introduces the SCUBA HAM AWARD, the award of scuba divers amateurs radio.
Amateur radio, also known as ham radio, is the use of radio frequency spectrum for purposes of non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation, self-training, private recreation, radiosport, contesting, and emergency communication.
Scuba diving is practiced all over the world, in hot or cold waters, in seas, lakes, rivers, caves… and many amateurs radio practice recreational diving. Most of amateurs radio practice scuba diving in their spare time, many amateurs radio are diving guides or diving instructors, some of them are professionals guides or instructors. Diving is one of the favorite activities during the holidays… and holidays are always with a transceiver into the luggage!!!

Goal: amateurs radio have to contact on air scuba divers amateurs radio all over the world. Each contact will give a score based on the diving certification of the scuba diver amateur radio.
Prizes: award for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places. The award is a parchment diploma with underwater photos.
