West Hawk Lake is an inland lake created by a meteor.  It is a very popular recreational lake for cottagers and boaters, and because of its clarity it has become a destination of choice for many local divers.  Being in Manitoba and land locked in the middle of Canada, this dive site provides a great location to not only learn to dive, but also to conitinually practice your skills.

The Manitoba Underwater Council is an association dedicated to promoting safe snorkelling and SCUBA diving in Manitoba.

Our mission is :  To promote the sport of scuba diving and uderwater activities in Manitoba through safety, advocacy, environmental awareness, self governance...and fun.

In our committment to the environment, we make it our responsibility to keep the area we dive in clean and safe for not only our dive community, but for beach goers and boaters alike.

This year in two separate dives we removed 112 lbs of garbage from this dive area, much of which was harmful to both humans and fish.
