This was a net mass that i have encountered several times this year. On this day I had 3 fellow divers, so I dedicated one team to remove this net, the other team to move around the reef and collect loose trash. The figures in this survey are very conservative estimates of the number of sinkers, buoy, rope, nets, lures and all the other stuff that is contained within the huge mass of net we removed. Normally I bring the loose stuff home to sort, but the members of the group emptied those mess bags on the ground near the mass and it was just too hot out to try to pick out what was not part of the mass. Apologies for that.
