Type of Debris Fishing line
Comments The turtle was on a shelf about 45 feet down in the trench with about 60 feet of fishing line wrapped around his shell, three legs, and neck. I cut him loose in less than two minutes while my dive buddies blocked his retreat. We didn’t have to touch him much.

It looked like a trash bag was thrown from a boat and settled at the bottom of the trench because more of the trash was in a tight area. The fishing line could have come from a boat or the nearby shore.

A glass bottle that was made in 1938.
