When we have large amounts of rain, it pushes items down the ala wai canal from homeless encampments. It's not one event, it's an ongoing problem for this area and our entire island.
Clothing and blankets. It smothers the reef and kills the coral.

This was our Annual Dive For Earth Day cleanup at Magic Island. Participants included the bigger dive shops on island as well as conservation organizations and local dive clubs. Would love for PADI Aware to come out next year : )
